I am a highly skilled Business English Communication Coach & Textbook Author having taught about 3.700 students from university graduates to high-level managers during more than 11.000 hours. For over a decade, I have developed my own courses and materials and wrote my first textbook in 2014.

Over more than 3 decades conducting business and teaching Business English, I became genuinely passionate about successful business communication that not only achieves the goals but builds and maintains relationships, and, as importantly, develops ways to motivate learners acquiring these complex skills in a second language.
As a result, I developed my skills-based method in teaching Business English, which can be compared to the new project-based learning for general English (PBL) with a central focus on the student's needs and motivation.
Skills-based Method
1. Determining relevance of skill in particular business situations (e.g. writing a claim rejection without losing the customer)
2. Analyzing insufficient examples and comparing them to successful ones
3. Identifying structure and language of the positive approach (e.g. effective opening of a presentation)
4. Conducting exercises including introduction of appropriate language in terms of fulfilling the task and building/maintaining relationships with focus also on collocations (i.e. vocabulary combinations native speakers use)
5. Performing final exercise covering the complete task (e.g. roleplay of negotiation following the Harvard Negotiation Project)
I will provide feedback throughout either orally or by email between sessions. In this approach, I do not just teach English but communication skills, which the learners can also apply to their native language. All steps include intense discussions between teacher and student providing ample possibilities for speaking activity by the learner.

In this session, I will assess your English level (intermediate to higher level (CEFR B1 - C2)) and your goals in Business English communication. In the following week, I will design a customized course that could cover just one topic like presentations or could be a mix of skills (each skill no less than 5 hours for best results).
